Accessibility audit and disabled user testing
Brief:
To complete a full accessibility audit and improve accessibility standards across Versus Arthritis digital tools including website, online community and an app for young people.

the work
Working with teams across Versus Arthritis, we drew up a brief for an accessibility audit including rounds of improvements and retests and full disabled user testing. We were working towards WAG2.1 AA standards.
We went out to tender and partnered with accessibility experts ZooNou and RNIB for disabled user testing. My role in this project included:

project management from brief through to completion

two rounds of audit fixes, retests and improvement including user testing in-house

planning, recruitment and scripts for disabled user testing

running of user testing across all digital platforms

rewriting of accessibility statement across our platforms

training, guidelines and championing of accessible content, accessible tools and platforms across the organisation
